About

Hi, I'm Louise.

Pilates has been woven through my life for more than 25 years. I first discovered it at 19 while recovering from an injury during my professional dance training in Leeds. Even then, I could see how powerful thoughtful movement could be, not just for recovery but for feeling stronger, moving better and building confidence.

Since then I've worked professionally as a dancer across the UK, produced work for internationally recognised performing arts companies, and spent over 20 years teaching movement to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

Along the way I've balanced a busy career, travelled extensively, and raised my daughter as a single parent. Then came 2020. Like so many people, COVID gave me the opportunity to pause and rethink what really mattered. I wanted to spend more time with my daughter, move my own body again, and finally pursue something I'd always loved but never quite had the time to fully commit to.

So I trained with Polestar Pilates, one of the world's leading Pilates education providers, and Pilates with Louise was born. And honestly... I absolutely love what I do.

What makes my classes different?

I've worked with thousands of people through dance, education and movement. That experience has taught me one thing above everything else: No two bodies move the same.

That's why my classes aren't about chasing perfect positions or keeping up with everyone else. They're about helping you understand your body, move with confidence and enjoy the process.

You'll learn the core Pilates principles with plenty of variety and encouragement along the way.

There are no gimmicks. No intimidating atmosphere. No expectation that you already know what you're doing. Just high-quality movement, expert guidance, plenty of laughs and a room full of people who are all there for exactly the same reason, to feel stronger and move better.
